Congratulations, Sierra!
Everyone scoot on over to Sierra's blog and read her big news. It's the quiet ones you have to watch out for, I swear.

And congrats to DD for her 18th wedding anniversary. I always forget, until she posts about it, that hers is about a week before mine.
I probably say this every year, but anyone planning a wedding and hoping someday to celebrate wedding anniversaries, don't get married the week before Christmas. Heck, don't get married in December at all. Trust me.

I watched a documentary tonight about a prisoner returning to the site of a Nazi work camp in Poland. It's a PBS doc on "POV" which always has excellent shows.
It's called "Inheritance" and is about the daughter of the evil, murderous, monstrous, currently-burning-in-the-fires-of-hell Nazi work camp commander Amon Goeth (played by Ralph Fiennes in "Schindler's List") and her meeting with a Jewish woman, Helen, who was forced to work in his house at the camp.
Shows like this leave me drained. As Helen lit a candle at the base of a monument to all the Jews killed there, I cried along with her. Her mother's remains are buried there far away from where she now lives in New York state.
Find it, watch it and never forget. As the survivors of that war and the horrors of Nazi Germany age and die, it's more important than ever. Never forget.
